Dubai, UAE – Emirates new routes to Asia mark a significant expansion for Dubai’s flagship airline, as it adds three new destinations to its network: Shenzhen in China, Da Nang in Vietnam, and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Strengthening Presence in Key Asian Markets
This expansion marks a strategic milestone for Emirates, solidifying its presence in some of Asia’s most dynamic markets. With these new routes, Emirates now operates 24 destinations in East Asia, offering 269 weekly flights from Dubai—the most extensive route network among non-Asian carriers in the region.
The latest additions make Shenzhen the airline’s fourth gateway into mainland China, Da Nang its third Vietnamese destination, and Siem Reap its second point in Cambodia.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the importance of these new routes:
- Shenzhen, a global technology and trade hub, will benefit from enhanced business and economic connectivity.
- Vietnam remains a key focus for Emirates, particularly following the UAE-Vietnam Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
- Siem Reap, home to the world-famous Angkor Wat, will see increased accessibility for global tourists.
Enhanced Passenger and Cargo Services
The new Dubai to Shenzhen flights will be operated using Emirates’ upgraded Boeing 777-300ER, featuring four-class cabins, including Premium Economy. Flight schedules have been carefully designed to optimize connections to major markets across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Emirates also plans to transport up to 10 tons of cargo per flight, supporting high-tech and e-commerce exports.
Meanwhile, the linked services between Da Nang and Siem Reap via Bangkok will enhance travel options for leisure passengers. These flights will provide convenient access for travelers from France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.
As part of the Emirates flight expansion, flights to Da Nang will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while services to Siem Reap will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Both routes will be served by Emirates’ two-class Boeing 777-300ER.
Expanding Global Connectivity
With this latest expansion, Emirates continues to strengthen its position as a leading international airline, offering seamless connectivity for both business and leisure travelers. By adding more destinations in China, Vietnam, and Cambodia, the airline reinforces its commitment to enhancing travel and trade links across Asia and beyond.
